Rental Terms and Conditions

FAIR TRADE AGREEMENT

Your agreement is with Mountain-Plus

Bookings are made in the knowledge of, and with full acceptance of the following terms and conditions.

These terms and conditions are set out to protect the interests of yourself and Mountain Plus

Please read them carefully before booking. Our agreement is subject to English law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

BOOKING PROCEDURE

When you make a booking, an on line booking form must be completed with details of your party, home address and contact numbers.

We will then issue an invoice/booking confirmation requesting a deposit (usually 20% of rental total).

A legally binding contract will come into existence once your deposit is received by M+.

The final balance and refundable bond are due 8 weeks before departure. If payment is not received in full on time, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and levy cancellation charges in accordance with the Cancellation section below

If you book your holiday less than 8 before departure, full payment is due upon booking.

Upon receipt of the final balance and bond, we will forward you directions to your accommodation, tourist information about the resort and your accommodation, plus the key or key holding arrangements.

HOLIDAY PRICE

The price quoted includes the accommodation as described in our website, electricity, heating, final clean, laundry costs, tourist tax, and where applicable, welcome pack and firewood.

All prices are quoted in and payable in Swiss francs.

Any prices quoted for additional activities, such as ski lessons, are correct at the time of publication. We will do our best to keep all published prices up to date, but cannot take responsibility for any changes made between booking and arrival.

BOND

A bond of  500chf is payable 8 weeks before departure. This will be refunded in full within 21 days of your return unless any damage has been caused over and above minor breakages. The final clean and laundry are included in your price, but additional cleaning/laundry will be charged at 60chf per hour, and non returned keys at  150 francs at most properties or 500 francs at apartment properties if the loss of key results in locks  and/or shared locks needing to be changed.

Obviously, accidents happen, and we would ask you to let us know of any breakages so the items can be replaced. Any more important breakages/damage, not claimable on the owner’s insurance, will be deducted from your bond, as will excessive cleaning and laundry.

CANCELLATIONS

In the unfortunate circumstance that you have to cancel your holiday, please give written instructions to us. Charges will apply as shown below to cover our estimated losses.

  • More than 8 weeks - 20% i.e. deposit

  • 8 weeks and less - 100%

We strongly recommend that clients take out cancellation insurance to protect themselves in the event of unforeseen cancellations.

We cannot reimburse or refund monies for any unused services booked, or shortened holidays for whatever reason.

INSURANCE

It is a condition of booking that you ensure you have adequate insurance to cover cancellation, medical requirements, mountain rescue and personal belongings.

ALTERATIONS BY US

If, before your holiday, we find ourselves obliged to change one of the principle elements of the reservation, we will inform you immediately.

You can then either cancel the contract and receive a full reimbursement of the booking, or accept the proposed change, and we will issue a revised booking confirmation to this effect.

We will however only make changes in exceptional circumstances.

In the unlikely event of us having to cancel your booking should the acommodation become unavailable due to exceptional circumstances, we will refund your deposit or any payments you have made for your acommodation in full.

BEHAVIOUR

When you make a booking with mountain-plus, you accept responsibility for the proper conduct of the whole party. We reserve the right to terminate your rental due to any misconduct that we consider likely to cause damage or danger to the property, its contents, to neighboring properties, or distress/danger to neighbours. You agree to indemnify us against any claim and legal costs, made against us by or on behalf of the owners of such properties.

MAILING LIST

Our mailing list is operated in accordance with the terms of the Data Protection Act. We will not disclose your details to any third party, and will remove your details on request

PROBLEMS/COMPLAINTS

In the unlikely event that you have cause for dissatisfaction or wish to make a complaint, please contact us immediately, so we can try to resolve any issues. We can only deal with any problems or complaints that have been notified to us during the holiday.

OTHER POINTS TO NOTE

The maximum number of people staying in the property must not exceed the advertised capacity. Any additional costs associated with over occupancy will be charged to the client making the booking or deducted from the bond.

Weeks run from Saturday to Saturday unless otherwise stated on property details

Arrival time is from 4.00pm

Departure time is 10.30am

All properties are non-smoking, and no pets allowed

The final clean does not include washing up, removal of rubbish and bottles, and disposal of food.
